She was always a feisty, funny, loving soul. As a child Debbie loved playing with her siblings, and cousins. Deborah known to many as Debbie was reunited with her father, mother, and sisters, and many loved ones again. She completed high school and some college. She met Jesus her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the Golden Gates in Heaven. Deborah Sue “Cook” Causey left earth on Novemand woke in Eternal Paradise with her loved ones again. While he has given workshops to individuals and groups of all ages since 2004, Paul prefers to work with post-primary and adult groups. While poetry-based, many of the writing exercises are adaptable for short-form creative prose writing. Mostly involves looking at a variety of examples (depending on the specific wishes of the group), seeing how they work and then generating a number of our own compositions.
Sessions can range from focussed writing workshops (either form or free verse-based), to listening and appreciation interspersed with discussions, or even reading aloud sessions, or any combination of these. He also edits the annual Unfinished Book of Poetry, featuring verse written by transition year students from Cork city schools. He teaches multimedia and creative writing courses at the Cork College of Commerce and is poet in residence each May for Carechoice, a group of elderly homes in county Cork, during the Bealtaine festival. He completed a poetry-film in 2010 based on Ian Duhig’s poem, The Lammas Hireling. A chapbook of his longer poems, It’s Not all Bad, was published by The Heaventree Press in 2009. He has published poems in five of his six spoken languages, along with articles, in journals and anthologies in Ireland, the US, China, Australia, South Africa, Romania and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
